We have all kinds of misconceptions about body fat or cholesterol. Even doctors have it. There is a closed misconception among many, especially those who practice medicine. The idea is to take medication as long as you have high cholesterol. The matter needs to be clarified a little.

Fat is an essential element in body composition. Cholesterol is a critical component in many physiological functions, including the walls of billions of cells and a large number of hormones. Almost all of the animal brain is made up of cholesterol. So why would cholesterol be bad? The matter is not suitable for bad. Everything has a dimension. Problems arise when the level is exceeded. We need to have a lipid profile on an empty stomach for at least 10 hours to know our cholesterol levels. The lipid profile contains details of Total cholesterols, High-density Lipoprotein-HDL, Low-density Lipoprotein-LDL and Triglycerides. The proportional presence of these four components plays an essential role in determining subsequent treatment. Many people only advise checking Total Cholesterols and Triglycerides. It is not possible to understand the amount of HDL and LDL precisely. So the lipid profile is checked if the age is 30 or if someone in the family or clan suffers from heart disease or stroke at a young age.

Good vs Bad Cholesterol:

Living cells continue to break down in the walls of blood vessels. In the case of healthy people, it has a perfect balance. But those who have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, those who smoke or consume tobacco products, those who spend obese body without exercise, the process of breaking down living cells in their blood vessels become unbalanced. HDL cholesterol plays a positive role in protecting blood vessels in this cell-breaking process. This is why it is called good cholesterol. And LDL cholesterol causes a kind of inflammation in the walls of the blood vessels, especially the altered oxidized LDL. Gradually, this inflammation causes plaque to form in the blood vessels’ lining, narrowing the blood vessels and obstructing the blood flow. Ordinary people call it to block. When a block checks at least 70% of a blood vessel’s lumen, chest pain, pressure, shortness of breath, or Aodo begins with a bit of effort. In medical terms, it is called angina. It turns out that cholesterol’s role in the formation of heart block or brain stroke is central. The higher the good cholesterol (HDL) and the lower the bad cholesterol (LDL), the safer it will be.
